Monkshood Greeting Card
Monkshood Greeting Card
An Art Deco-style patterned card inspired by Agatha Christie.
A design dripping in opulence. Monkshood (Aconitum nappellus) is known as the 'Queen Mother of poisons' (or sometimes Queen) and considered to be the most poisonous plant in Europe. In Ancient Greece, Monkshood was believed to have been spawned from the saliva of the hound of Hades, Cerberus, the three-headed dog guarding the gates of the Underworld. Monkshood is so-named as it resembles the hood worn by medieval monks, other names include Wolfsbane and Devil's Helmet.⠀
