Ricin Wooden Coaster
Ricin Wooden Coaster
A deadly drinks accompaniment… Ricin from the castor oil plant. The coaster design is inspired by the Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie, who had a murderer add ricin to the sandwiches; abruptly ending a delightful afternoon tea. The bright hot pink spiny seed pods of the castor oil plant contrast with the bronze and dark browns of the plant’s seeds. The design’s influences include sandwiches, doilies and The Royal Greenhouses of Laeken.
